Privacy

KasNodes watches the public Kaspa network. This page says what we collect, what we show, and what we never show.

Nodes on the network

Our crawler connects to public Kaspa nodes the way any node does, and records what they announce: their address, software version, peer store and how quickly they answer. We show each node's generated name, an approximate place worked out from its address, its hosting provider and its version. We never show a node's IP address. Places for public nodes come from ipinfo.io.

Private nodes

Our sensors receive connections from nodes behind a firewall and try to connect back. We publish only counts, and in the live feed the country a node is in. That country is looked up on our own server; a private node's address is never shown or sent to anyone.

Accounts and claimed nodes

You only need an account to claim a node. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, which gives us your name and email address. A claimed node shows the name you choose, and Settings let you hide your name, location or software version, or keep your profile private.

Checking a node

“Check a node” and “Check my node” use the address you enter, or the one you visit from, to try a connection and look up what we already know. Your address is held only briefly, to stop repeated checks, and is not stored.

Cookies and analytics

There is no advertising and no tracking across sites. Cookies are set only when you sign in. Your light or dark choice and your leaderboard view are kept in your own browser. Cloudflare serves the site and counts visits without cookies.

Your data

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to remove a claimed node, email [email protected]. You can also release a node yourself from My nodes.
